Built by producers who needed better video production tools
It has helped us to manage over 100 shoots for NGOs and multinationals.
We started VDEO·PRO because we felt there were limited solutions available to help with a video producer's workflow. We manage video shoots across Africa and work with diverse producers and projects. We were overwhelmed by the production process and the lack of tools made specifically for us.
So we decided to make something that combined all the problems we had. We wanted to ease the crewing process, manage everything from one place, help our clients track live progress, know our expenses and be able to distribute projects fairly among available crew members.
Creator's Story
VDEO·PRO was founded by a Kenyan/ Ugandan producer and web developer named Louis Were. He started his media career in 2012. Built a video production company serving multinationals and NGOs customers for over 10 years.
In 2022, he created VideoPro Africa a service brand that helps people film across Africa and distributes opportunities within the film and creative industry. He got official recommendation from the Kenya Film Commission.
Now we are partnering with producers and filmmakers across regions to make production easier, more fun and accessible through technology built from our own experiences.
It is built specifically for independent producers, production companies, creative agencies and internal video communication teams who are looking to manage their clients, crews and shoot process from one single place.
We have tried different variations of the platform. We started as a video booking platform, then evolved into a cross-country video production agency that provided filming guides. Then we started colaborating with many producers and evolved into a video production management system that we use for ourselves.
While it has worked for us, we understand that production environments are different and would love to introduce it to other producers to help a broader industry need.
