IGNACIO SHANAHAN

Production Assistant, Director, Producer, Cinematographer, Camera Operator, Sound, Production Coordinator, Photographer, Editor, Colorist, Digital Imaging Technician, Drone Operator, Other

Buenos Aires, Argentina

I'm an audiovisual storyteller, filmmaker and producer who loves being out in the world, meeting people, discovering places, and finding the stories that make them worth looking at a little closer. One of the experiences that shaped me most was a six-month journey from Alaska to Patagonia in a van, filming landscapes, wildlife and the life unfolding along the way. It reminded me how much I enjoy the whole process: being in the field, paying attention, figuring things out with whatever is available, and turning those experiences into stories that make people feel something. My background combines filming, directing, editing, writing and production management, along with the practical side of making things happen: logistics, driving, scouting, administration, cooking and helping a team get through whatever the day brings. I'm comfortable wearing different hats, learning from people with more experience, and getting my hands dirty when that's what the job requires. I'm especially drawn to documentary, wildlife, nature and human stories. I'd love to keep growing in that direction, working alongside talented crews, contributing wherever I'm most useful, and learning from the people who do this work exceptionally well. That's the kind of work I'd love to be part of.
