About
I am a professional cinematographer and video editor with 6–7 years of experience editing a wide range of video content, including television programmes, documentaries, promotional videos, social media content, interviews, and event coverage. I have worked in the media industry, collaborating with cinematographers, producers, and other creative professionals to transform raw footage into engaging, high-quality productions. My experience includes storytelling, colour correction, sound synchronisation, transitions, and pacing to ensure each project meets professional standards. I have supported television audiences, businesses, brands, and online viewers by creating visually appealing content that communicates messages effectively and captures the intended audience’s attention.

Hi VDEOPRO team, I would like to join your global crew database for remote, project-based editing. I'm an editor and director-DP based in Kelowna, Canada, available for remote, project-based editing in DaVinci Resolve. I can help with interview-led stories, B-roll assemblies, cutdowns and practical colour work. I directed, produced and edited Haida House, https://jamesaltonfilms.com/work/haida-house/ If that fits an upcoming paid project, give me a shout. Scope and deadlines can be agreed for each brief.
