Yafet Geberezgi | Cinematographer & Visual Storyteller Yafet Geberezgi is an Ethiopian cinematographer, photographer and visual storyteller with a passion for documenting people, cultures and the stories that connect us. His journey into filmmaking began through photography, gradually evolving through different roles in film production, from camera assistant and gaffer to camera operator and Director of Photography. This diverse experience has shaped his understanding of visual storytelling, lighting, composition and the technical craft of filmmaking. Drawn particularly to documentary filmmaking, Yafet is interested in exploring unfamiliar environments, experiencing different cultures and capturing genuine human stories. His approach combines a strong visual sensibility with an adaptable, observational style, allowing him to respond creatively to the people, places and circumstances around him. With experience across documentaries, music videos and commercial productions, he brings versatility, curiosity and a thoughtful cinematic approach to every project. He is especially interested in projects that explore identity, culture, humanity and the relationship between people and their surroundings.

I have supported television audiences, businesses, brands, and online viewers by creating visually appealing content that communicates messages effectively and captures the intended audience’s attention.
